Typhoon Bavi, the ninth typhoon of this year, rapidly intensified after forming on July 2, maintaining super typhoon strength for as long as 138 hours. With an exceptionally large circulation scale, its cloud system spanned over 1,500 kilometers before landfall, and it began affecting coastal areas of Zhejiang with rain and wind when still 760 kilometers away.

On the night of July 11 and early morning of July 12, Typhoon "Bavi" made landfall in Zhejiang, maintaining a Category 13 typhoon intensity at the time. The storm center then passed through ten counties (cities, districts), lingering over Zhejiang for 11 hours and bringing widespread strong winds and heavy rainfall. According to statistics from Zhejiang's meteorological department, more than 70% of the province was affected by rainfall exceeding 50 millimeters within 24 hours or wind speeds above level 8. Wenzhou, Taizhou, and southern Ningbo were particularly hard hit.

Judging from the photos and videos taken on the scene, after the typhoon, some photovoltaic panels were blown away by the wind and could no longer be found, leaving only the empty supports behind.

There were also several areas where the photovoltaic panels were damaged. It could have been caused by blown-off photovoltaic panels hitting them, or by being damaged by other hard objects.
